C2E2 is a pop culture/geek party that takes place every year at the McCormick Place Convention Center ever year. Come brush up on your nerd knowledge to prep for the convention! Join the Uncommon Plant Guy, Chicago’s houseplant expert, for an afternoon at Whiner Beer Co for some hands-on fun where you’ll learn to craft your own kokedama—a stunning Japanese moss ball planter.

Bring your friends and dive into the world of wabi-sabi, the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection with this engaging plant workshop. No prior experience is needed! Our houseplant expert will guide you step by step, teaching you not just how to create a kokedama but also the plant care basics you’ll need to keep it thriving at home. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, March 11th.
